Google has recently launched patent search, which helps you in searching through 7 million patents. This offering certainly fits the company’s mission “To organise the world’s information and make it universally accessible”. The main advantage is that the patent content is directly readable.
It also has some advanced search options,

• search by inventor
• search by Assignee
• search in us/international classification
• search by issue date and filling date.
