Based on some reports regarding the fluctuations Google search results, Barry Schwartz had blogged about it in Search Engine Land - A Google Holiday Update or Data Refresh? Matt Cutts had replied to this and denied of any scoring / algorithm changes from Goolge. Probably Google may do an algo update early next year.
