“Should the keywords in the meta keywords tag be seperated by commas or just space?” is one question that the Search Engine Optimization World has never been able to answer in complete.
It is no news that very few search engines use Meta keywords in their ranking algorithms these days and both sites using space seperated keywords and those using comma seperated keywords do well in those search engines. When compared to using comma seperated keywords using space seperated keywords has been a comparatively new trend. The idea is that when you use space seperated keywords, Search Engines that do use them in their ranking can mix and match these keywords. I kind of liked this logic and started recommending space seperated keywords to anyone who came to for SEO advice. But Danny Sullivan in a thread titled “Meta Keyword Strategies” says
“Yahoo is the main player that cares about that tag. Last time I talked with them on the issue, they said to use commas.”
So now its upto you, comma or not you do the choosing?
