Don’ts in Reciprocal Linking

Wednesday, January 24th, 2007

Reciprocal links fetch some good traffic to your site, don’t follow some creepy ideas to some how get a link .

Extremely Low Quality links should be avoided. Linking should provide your own visitors quality sites where they could visit next. The links were provided as a resource. Don’t link just to make money or just to have a better Page Rank.

Don’t burry your links. Now-a-days the site is designed in such a way that it contains more directories. So many may not drill into your site to find the correct link. Always make your site visible to human eyes.

Don’t follow “Three Way Links” statergy. If site 1 sends request to site 2. then site 2 links site 1 with the link originating from site 3. Even though search engines are not able to track it and it may be helpful now, One day SE’s may change the algorithm and even track these. So don’t try to link just for the sake of search engines.

Get reciprocal links of high quality to enjoy a long lasting traffic and search engine indexing.

All of us are interested to index their sites as soon as possible in major search engines index. By checking the log reports about crawlers many will be aware of when the crawler visits our page but the thing is when does it index our site?

Some of the easy tips to be indexed in search engines. Be sure to clear all roadblocks for crawlers and make it more comfortable for a search engine that it may freely visit your site and capture all URLs. Creating good interlinking and Sitemaps for any website is very important and will help the crawlers a lot.

As you all know the importance of your website will be improved only if you produce a lot of incoming links to that page. Links from other websites will ensure your contents quality. So submitting your websites to search engines is not at all necessary. The content rich pages with lot of incoming links, sitemaps and cleared roadmaps will help pages indexed soon.

Linking Statergy

Wednesday, January 10th, 2007

Major search engines calculate the number of inbound and outbound links of a site. The reciprocal links can do some wonders in the site ranking in search engines. A website links to other sites and vice versa is known as reciprocal links.

Be careful to link with other websites. The relavancy of content is the most important factor to be considered. Don’t be narrow and be more eager to move on increasing the links. Though its important the quality of the site matters you a lot. The page rank, content relevancy, theme of the site are to be noticed when moving to reciprocal links.

Links can also be given without relavancy in content but set rel=”nofollow” in anchor tag so that the search engine will note it as irrelevant site. This just increases the count of links and no value will be added out of it. So rank better with links to more content relevant sites.
